| Sweden/All of Sweden. One call taking site of SOS Alarm will be selected to handle Total Conversation calls | Total Conversation terminals – Allan eC. In fixed, wireless and 3G mobile networks, in notebook and laptop computers. Installations with existing and new user groups. Older. People with mobile jobs. Deaf. Deaf-blind. Destination call routing servers. 3-party call controllers. Mobile 3G text terminals. Relay service invocation modules. Alerting services. IP Textphones using total conversation standards but without video. Text gateways to PSTN textphones. PSAP stand-alone terminals with Allan eC total conversation software. | Sweden is the current largest base for Total Conversation. A natural site for expansion and verifying sustainability and user acceptance. Technology for destination number calling via relay service has been tested and need to be implemented with a few improvements integrated. 112 calling has been tested only in lab environment and must now go out for deployment test. Text gateway is an important function for integration of legacy users, and offer the move to IP for their users before the PSTN is closed down. | It is intended that the project deploys an extension on the telephone system, calls between users in the different sites shall be possible in all media (video, real-time-text and audio ). Therefore users must be asked to call users in all other pilot sites so that this interoperability will be verified and the awareness of its possibilities is created. Any interoperability problems with the other pilots will be trapped early, and resolved. Both video relay service and text relay service connections will be established with existing such services. |
| UK (all UK, with PSAPs Wales and SouthWest) | TC Soft clients, standalone videophones; centralised server for voicemail; dynamic video server for information content in sign language | Concentration of partners in region, already developed testbed; national roll-out for soft-clients; integration with national large scale textphone user base through novel PC text phone soft client | P2P textphone interaction –seamlessly integrated across all scenarios. P2P videophone interactivity. Video services – online, information, training, videomail. Emergency service interface, PSAPs video enabled. Seamless interaction with other pilot sites |
| The Netherlands (all country) | DTMF textphones, RTT service for mobile, web and RFC4103, RTT-PSTN gateway. Voice and text Relay with voice to text, text to voice, Voice to voice (for textphone caller in the VCO/HCO mode with users alternating voice and text), tri-party conference, Mail-FAX -SMS to voice). | Live RTT service deployed and first all-IP PSAP installation. | Strong focus on mobile RTT and RCF4103 + SIP based integration with Relay and PSAP as well as other pilot sites. PSAP will have it's own fully supported and live RTT platform in stead of a parallel pilot system. |
| Spain, Galicia | Users with v.18 and v.23 textphones and/or Mobile 3G smartphones. Emergency Management platform with voice and text integration and call location (for fixed and mobile calls) in PSAP. | Galicia (pop. 2,8 million) is a region with high potential for new technology deployment. It’s number 2 in Spain in terms of funds received from the European Regional Development Fund, for the development of R+D+i and the information society. PSAP and Emergency Services in the region have a high level of maturity and presence among the population, with willingness to be fully accessible and usable (and be an example for the rest of the country). The National Relay Service is fully operational in the region. The existing solutions are easily scalable and potentially fully interoperable. Access to final users from different backgrounds is granted (urban, rural, aged, etc.) through different associations. | The project will be fully deploying integrated real time text capabilities in Relay Center and PSAP/E-S for access from fixed textphones, mobile 3G text terminals, notebooks and laptop computers, in which interoperability of systems will be demonstrated. Video and TC trials will be carried out to verify the maturity of the technology in the region/country. Being a region bordering with Portugal, the possibility of trans-national tests is enhanced. Possibility of interaction with other pilot sites. |
| France (all country) | Softphone and Trial with mobile text phones and mobile video/TC terminal (3G). eConf and MCU technology. All country will be covered.
